COVID-19 Dashboard
2021-2022 School Year
To ensure Crook County School District families are provided with the most recent and accurate data, the COVID-19 Dashboard will be updated on a weekly basis. In the event of a confirmed or presumptive positive diagnosis while at school, our nurses will contact families directly to explain the situation, make recommendations about quarantines, and answer questions. CCSD adopted the new Test-to-Stay program that allows unvaccinated students or staff to be tested instead of automatically quarantined. If the test is negative, individuals can stay in school but are required to test again 5-7 days later. Anyone with symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, is required to quarantine. Our staff and nurses will never administer a test or vaccinate any student without parental consent.
The staff and student quarantine numbers in this dashboard include those quarantined due to school exposures and exposures outside of school. If a student or staff member is directly exposed to COVID-19, they will no longer be considered a direct exposure if properly wearing a mask. The School District has also adopted the 5-day quarantine guidelines to help minimize the number of days students and staff are away from school. However, any individual still dealing with symptoms should remain home until symptoms subside.
Individual health data is confidential and we will not release personally identifiable information in order to protect the privacy of our students and staff. School officials may determine that it is appropriate to disclose additional information to parents or students if the disclosure is necessary to allow families to take appropriate precautions.
Definitions
Quarantine
A period of isolation for individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19, or had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
Close Contact
Individuals who were within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting from 2 days before the onset of illness.
Isolation
Separating students who are determined to have symptoms meeting exclusion criteria to an isolation area. This includes individuals who have symptoms of COVID-19 and individuals who are asymptomatic but have tested positive for infection.
Confirmed and Presumptive Positive
“Confirmed positive” only includes individuals with a lab-confirmed positive test. “Presumptive positive” refers to a close contact of a confirmed case who is exhibiting symptoms but has not been formally tested.
Parent- and Staff-Led Quarantine
This is the category we place student or staff in who don’t meet the need of a true quarantine but they choose to stay out.
