SchoolMessenger Parent Notification System
Crook County School District offers a communications tool that helps us stay connected with our valued families. This platform is called SchoolMessenger. It will allow each of our schools and the District Office to communicate important messages through email, text, and phone messages.
OPT-IN TEXT CAMPAIGN
All families should opt-in to receive text messages from the School District and your child’s school. Enter the code “67587” as the recipient and then type in “Y” or “YES” and hit send to allow text messages from the school district.
SCHOOLMESSENGER MOBILE APP
SchoolMessenger also includes a mobile app that allows families to manage all messages in one location. Downloading the app is optional. Families will still receive emails, texts, and phone calls the old-fashioned way. SchoolMessenger simply allows the user to see emails, texts, and even listen to voice messages in the app. Once you’ve downloaded the blue-colored app (not gold), use the email associated with your ParentVue or StudentVue accounts. Then choose a password that is at least 6 characters long and uses the following:
- 1 Uppercase letter
- 1 Lowercase letter
- 1 Number
You’ll then receive an email in your email inbox to verify and authenticate your login. Please make sure and click on the link to finalize the process.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Please make sure student cell phone numbers are added to StudentVue or updated if there’s been a change.
You’ll need to turn on notifications in the app. You can do that by selecting the three bars in the upper-left corner of the app. Then select settings and you’ll see a button called Push Notifications. Make sure to activate notifications so you’re notified when important messages arrive in the app.
