We can't really say goodbye. It's more of a "See you around." 👋

...CCMS Principal Kurt Sloper officially begins a new chapter this month after nearly 20 years of teaching, coaching, and working in leadership for Crook County School District. Mr. Sloper will now focus most of his time on running the Powell Butte Country Store with his wife, Niki, who is also a former teacher in our district.

The good news is Mr. Sloper has agreed to come back on a limited basis to provide training, advice, and mentorship to other administrators in our district. And he's coaching girls youth basketball now that his daughters are playing. 🏀

We appreciate all of his years of service and dedication to our community, families, and students. He'll be missed at CCMS, but we're glad he's not going too far!

Best of luck on the new adventure! 🙌
