2020-21 School Year

Crook County School District is proud of its efforts to offer in-person instruction to local students since the beginning of the school year. September of 2020 began in a hybrid model with K-5 students full time, and middle and high school students in a rotating Blue-Gold schedule. Thanks to our partnership with the Crook County Health Department, the school district began offering a full-time schedule again for CCMS and CCHS students on Tuesday, January 26th. Students attending the Hybrid Learning Campus @ Pioneer will remain in a hybrid schedule for now. The school district continues to follow important safety measures such as wearing masks, grouping students in specific cohorts, and daily sanitizing efforts. A robust COVID-19 response plan has proved very effective, as not one case of COVID-19 has originated or spread in any of our schools. We are thankful for our incredible nurses – Wendy Perrin and Megan McPhetridge – for their tireless efforts to care for our students and staff. Safety and transparency will continue to guide us through the rest of the school year. We will take a conservative approach and immediately quarantine students or staff members exposed to this virus to ensure we can stay open and serve students. The school district will also post a weekly COVID-19 Activity Update that provides information and data about the activity of the virus throughout the school district and in our community.
